Slimy Salamander, Plethodon glutinosus at Cascade Springs. Possibly the largest glute I have ever seen. Slimys are relatively common in the metro Atlanta region, and aren't restricted to wetlands as most amphibians are. Slimy Salamanders lay their eggs terrestrially , and once they hatch they only tension larvae for a day or two before metamorphosis. #MAAMP #Plethodon #Plethodonglutinosis #Plethodontidae #Lungless #LunglessSalamander #UrbanAmphibians #SlimySalamander
